Our Intake Process

Step 2: Get Assessed

The assessments consist of a complete medical assessment to determine your immediate behavioral health needs. If appropriate, after the medical evaluation, an American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) assessment is completed. The ASAM assessment criteria factors in six dimensions to “create a holistic, biopsychosocial assessment of an individual to be used for service planning and treatment across all services and levels of care.”

Step 3: Get You Connected

WestCare has multiple funding sources, and we do not turn individuals away for the inability to pay for services (some funding sources may have a waiting list).

For those currently connected to insurance, we accept Medicaid, SilverSummit, Anthem, Cigna, Molina, and Fee for Service, some private insurances, or you may also self-pay. If you are not currently enrolled for Medicaid but are eligible, we will assist you with enrolment.

Step 4: The Program Offerings

Based on your assessment results, the appropriate level of care will be recommended, which could include our Community Involvement Center (CIC Outpatient) or residential treatment. WestCare offers a full continuum of services and will work with you on the appropriate stepdown levels of care as needed.

No insurance - no problem! We have a Nevada State Welfare Outreach Enroller onsite and can get uninsured persons connected with benefits the same day services are requested. We will not turn anybody away due to an inability to pay.
